Open Trench/Direct Burial
Open trench or open cut is the simplest method of installing tracer wire and does not require the strength that would be necessary in directional drilling or pipe bursting applications.
Directional Drilling
Horizontal Directional Drilling is required where minimal surface disturbance is required. Some instances include sidewalks, roadways, buildings or other surface level structures.
Pipe Bursting
Pipe bursting is a trenchless method of replacing buried pipelines for natural gas, water or sewer and is also utilized in “upsizing” or to expand a pipeline’s carrying capacity.
